It was actually a first time to collaborate with our teammates, and do something. We decided our item about Korean forklore, Sotdae. We were attracted by its meaning and athletic beauty. During all the works, I found our team work together well, and distribute the roles effectively. Nayoon is fluent in English, and I'm good at researching. Though Kyoko is not well-informed in Korean folklore because she is a Japanese, she has a perspective of foreigner, which helps a lot in understanding 'how the British counterpart team will understand our folklore' and suggests us some concerns we might face. We communicated a lot and Nayoon really worked well in organizing and summarizing the ideas in English. I could feel that we are working just like a saw-toothed wheel.

Though we chose Sotdae, we were not that much well-informed about it, and we could learn much from research. The variation it has from towns to towns were much more wide than we expected, and it was really interesting. And we were curious about how they made it stand because it is really tall(more than 3 meter usually). Through research, to stand it, they did kind of 'ceremony' and all the residents of the town participated to do that. They usually tied the sotdae with lots of ropes, and they drew the rope at the same time, in all the direction. It had more interesting points more than we thought, and we want to suggest something interesting. And to deliver these ideas, we're pondering upon how to make the design brief well. Though we just finished the draft, I'm really anticipating an interesting process.
